Landmarks

There are still a number or landmarks around Nottingham that serve as reminders of Bendigo's life and career in the city.

For example, a plaque on a building between Kings Row and Parliament Street marks the house where Bendigo was born on 11 October 1811.

A concrete statue still stands above The Hermitage pub in Sneinton which was originally called The Bendigo until it closed and re-opened in 1999.

Bendigo's tomb is in St Mary's Rest Garden in Sneinton. The park used to be a cemetary.
